Nutritional Health

Health is probably the most important aspect of a comfortable life. One where you are able to enjoy clarity of mind, vitality, endurance and optimism as an ongoing feature of your every day living.

However, the realities are that problems arise, particularly if we as an individual give little thought to sustaining our wellbeing at its most optimum level as we mature and take over the reins from your parents or carers in those early steps towards self responsibility and reliance.

My interest in whole health and its sustenance grew to be of  increasing interest to me when it became apparent that, as is the case families, there are genetic structures that revisit in progeny, but never in an orderly fashion.

It seems that in the case of multiple progeny the dice falls on one or some. The roll might result in one carrying all the nasties from both sides of one’s parentage, or just a troublesome few, or from just one parent.

In my family it seems that I rolled the numbers and collected all. The result of which has been a life of adjustment. Nuisance issues, which arise from  metabolic syndrome, of which there are seven recognisable factors that recur in some or all of the team. An immunological problem that has in its armoury :

Hypertension, heart problems, liver and kidney disorders, diabetes, allergies; all of which can develop other nasty side issues such as eye diseases, kidney failure, stroke, arterial disease,  or skin problems with its multiple intolerances, such as sun exposure to name a few.

BUT…I AM NOT BEATEN!

NUTRITION, I believe, is the first major key to explore when facing ongoing, worsening symptoms that are insidiously eroding your quality of life. AND…to do this I am going to take us on a journey of looking at what we can do to effect within ourselves an improved quality of health and vitality.

I think that I’ll get the bad news over first, before we start to walk down the track of researching how to find your own individual state of balance.

Adjustment will be a key word in your collective knowledge in the management of your health problems. This involves being constantly in a state of ‘being prepared’ to review your situation and take action.

There are also other components that we will look at, which are necessary when reviewing Whole Health, i.e. that of your physical balance and mind,  both hold equal status in the necessary application of stasis.

The first topic to head this vast subject will be to look at ourselves as an individual entity. Each of us is unique, and it is my intention to walk right back in time and acknowledge our states of awareness about self, and most importantly the manifestation of our innate needs in terms of nutritional health that occurred, AND…more importantly still prevail. To recognise the depth of your awareness of self which has been submerged in your youth. To realise that within that era of our lives there are often clues in the history of our nutritional health…such as desires, likes or abhorrance to certain foods. You own personal patent is there.
